Best dinner we’ve had in long time! Super friendly staff and music was phenomenal. The food.. oh my the food was on another level! That rainbow chard and scallop XO pasta has forever altered my brain chemistry.

Outstanding atmosphere. Extremely busy so we were directed to standing table and didn’t get to try much. The oyster was overly salty otherwise it was fresh! Hoping to go back to try their food.

I’m hard pressed to find a favourite restaurant in Hobart this week… we’re only here for a week… but Sonny and Ogee are top in their own special ways… great atmosphere… in a space that’s very intimate and relaxing… a great layout… you miss it if you’re not careful…the food is great and wine list also on the same level Get in early… unless you’re prepared to queue… but even then it’s well worth it Maybe even bring an LP… great record player … also no booking!… that’s makes it even better

Great place for a date night, good selection of wine and nice food. Squid pasta dish was a little bit salty, but still delicious. Service was adequate to their proposal, since it’s a laid back vibe place.

Perfect place to pop in for a glass or two. Service here is seriously sharp hospo - lightning fast, they don't leave your glass empty for long! There's a good range of wines with some mystery surprise numbers. Food is good but probably consitently better for a snack rather than a full meal.

Got to Sonny a little early (3:40) and had an absolute ball. From 4 onwards, Al and the team did everything to look after us, from filling our drinks, playing great music, and suggesting food. They were a great team and would highly suggest the menu. The best Hobart meal we have had so far. Thank you so much!!

10/10, would move to Hobart for this place. Very small menu - but what they do they do extremely well. Freshest ingredients, highlighting what’s in season, it was incredible. The vibe of the restaurant was my favourite part. Very cozy, playing great music on vinyl, and the staff was very attentive and clearly having a great time as well.

Sonny you were fantastic. This is everything you want in a bar and more. I knew it was going to be a good night when we were told outside waiting that they’d make it work for us to come in. Staff were super accommodating and genuinely looked happy to be there. Very impressed at the food that came out of such a small venue. The wine list was super interesting and fun. Music was top tier. The best bars feel like you’re at a friends place for dinner and this was truely that.
